TECA uses the CompetitionSuite system for communication, tabulation,
soundtrack uploads and commentary. It is free to sign up and is required for
membership.
Please follow these directions to register as a member of TECA.
- If you do not have an account, please create an account here:
https://competitionsuite.com/signup/ - Click this link if you are a NEW DIRECTOR but your unit has been in TECA in
the past:
https://competitionsuite.com/groups/find/ - Enter your group’s name (enter part of the name if you have trouble
finding it) - Click Request Access next to your group.
Once the association is approved, the group name will be displayed along the
left side of the page. Approval may take up to 24 hours. - Be sure to provide your phone number to ensure you can access your
commentary from your phone!
You will be directed to find your group or add your group if you are new to the circuit
or are adding a second/third unit.
If your unit has participated in TECA previously, please do not create a duplicate unit in CompetitionSuite. New directors should request access to the existing unit.
Once you are logged in to your unit, take a moment to look at the following areas:
- Member management – here you can add or remove staff members and administrators.
- Administration – this is where you will find your official TECA unit name. Please note that all scholastic units MUST include the name of the school in their official unit name.
IMPORTANT – Please download and share the updated TECA W9 and update our mailing address with your district business office. The W9 can be found under RESOURSES tab here or in Competition Suite.

Registration opens Octoberber 1st and closes on December 31st.
Early registration 10/1 – 10/31 ($800 for the first unit/$600 for the second unit/$400 for the third)
Regular registration 11/1 – 11/30 ($900/$700/$500)
Late registration 12/1 – 12/31 ($1000/$800/$600)
Guest unit $300/show
Payments/Approved Purchase Orders are due January 31, 2027.
Show selection will coincide with registration.
Shows close when they have reached capacity or 14 days before the date of the event.
The 2027 Season membership is valid from Oct 1st, 2026 thru August 31st, 2027.
Log-in to CompetitionSuite.
Click on the unit you want to register
Click on REGISTRATION and in the box, click the blue hyperlink “HERE”
You will then choose your Division/Classification AND fill in all the information to finish your
profile.
If you have a second or third group, you will click on ADD ADDITIONAL GROUP. This step must be completed when you register the first unit or you will not receive the multi-unit discount.
**MULTI-UNIT DISCOUNTS are only available for the second or third unit of the same type – Guard, Percussion or Winds.
ADMINISTRATOR IS NOT YOUR PRINCIPAL – The unit director is the “administrator” for Competition Suite purposes.
You can now click COMPLETE MEMBERSHIP
The invoice/quote will be emailed to the email address you provided in the email field. You can also
see the invoice in your unit profile under INVOICE.
All quotes must be converted to invoices prior to December 31.

If a district is paying for multiple units, please include the invoice numbers and unit names with
the check.
Preliminary schedules and contest packets including site maps will be posted for each event both on the TECA website and in Competition Suite under Resources.
Schedule adjustments may be made until the Monday prior to the show – but we will make every effort to ensure that each unit’s schedule remains within the block of time in the preliminary schedule.
Verify that you have Competition Suite access and add any staff members that you want to have access to judges’ commentary.
Verify that your staff has access to Competition Suite. Add support staff, chaperones, or team leadership who should receive important show day messages and set their role as “Event Message Only.”
The deadline to update spiel sheet information in Competition Suite is Wednesday prior to the event at 12 AM (midnight) CST. Groups who do not complete their spiel sheet info will only have the group name and city/state announced. This information can be updated under the Organization Data tab.
Color Guard Only: The deadline to upload music (color guard only) is Wednesday prior to the event.
Uploads lock overnight at 12 AM (midnight) CST. Color guards who do not load their soundtrack by that time should plan to use their own device and TECA does not provide dongles.
Final schedules are released by end of day the Monday before the event. There will be no changes to the final schedule.
Review your Contest Info Packet to verify logistical details, event flow, and competition area timeline.
Upon arrival, the group director or a designated representative should report to Group Check In to receive Participant Wristbands.
TECA recommends that all color guard groups complete a sound check, available one hour prior to the start of the contest and during breaks at the discretion of the Contest Administrator.
All scores will be published on go-teca.org at the conclusion of retreat.
Retreat for all shows except championships is captains only. Captains should meet in the equipment warm-up location (unless other arrangements have been made) immediately following the last group’s performance.
